What this service is

Obriym Tools provides browser-based tools for preparing product photographs and for converting supplier catalog files into marketplace import formats. The tools are free to use. An optional one-time purchase called Pro raises certain limits and supports continued development, and optional credit packs pay for the HD options, the only features that run on our server rather than in your browser.

Because processing happens in your browser, the results depend on your device and browser. Very large photos may fail on a device with limited memory, and some file variants may not decode.

Platform requirements are guidance, not a guarantee

Our presets are based on the published requirements of each marketplace, checked against official documentation and dated on the relevant page. Marketplaces change their requirements without notice, and some publish no requirements at all — where that is the case we say so on the page.

We do our best to be accurate, but we cannot guarantee that a photo prepared with this tool will be accepted by any marketplace. Deciding whether a listing meets a platform's rules remains your responsibility.

Your content

You keep all rights to the photographs you process. We acquire no rights to them. Everywhere except the HD options they are never uploaded, so we never have possession of them at all; where you do choose an HD option, we hold that photo only for as long as it takes to produce and return the result.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images you process, and for how you use the results.

Acceptable use

Do not use this site to process material that is illegal, or to attempt to disrupt the service or the systems of others. Do not misrepresent the service as your own.

Pro purchases

Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing recurs and nothing is charged again automatically.

Pro is activated by a licence key stored in your browser. Clearing your browser storage removes it from that browser; the key shown after purchase can be used to activate it again, including on another device you own.

A licence key belongs to the email address it was bought with. Activating Pro anywhere new asks for that address as well as the key, and one key may be activated a generous number of times — comfortably more than the devices and browsers one person uses, and far fewer than a key that has been published in public attracts. A key we find shared publicly may be withdrawn; if that happens to a key that is genuinely yours, write to us and we will put it right. Keys bought before this was introduced continue to activate on the key alone.

Because the tools run on your device, Pro limits are enforced locally. We state this openly here rather than implying stronger protection than exists.

HD credits

Credit packs are a separate one-time purchase from Pro, and buying one is not a subscription either. One credit is one photo through one HD operation — having its background removed, or being enlarged — whatever number of marketplace formats that photo is then exported for. A photo you ask for both on uses two credits, because that is two pieces of work. Credits do not expire.

Credits are held against a credit key stored in your browser. That key is the account: there is no password and no email attached to it, so anyone holding it can spend the balance, and losing it means losing the balance — keep it as you would keep a receipt you cannot ask for a copy of.

The HD options send the photo to our server and on to the processing provider for that operation — PhotoRoom for background removal, Replicate for enlarging — which is why they are the paid features that genuinely cannot run locally. If a provider fails on a photo, the credit for it is returned to your balance automatically.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce a particular result. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales.

Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country that cannot be limited by agreement.
